It is our desire to assist other Local Churches in training
young people. The Scripture is clear that the local
church is God’s plan to evangelize and disciple
the lost. Anchor Baptist Bible College is in every sense
a local church ministry focused on training Christians.
Our students are active in serving the Lord in the church,
while they receive sound Bible doctrine in the classroom.
Emphasis is placed on the inerrancy of the King James
Bible, and we stress that it is God’s Word--our
sole authority. We also have a desire to train young
people in the area of music. Satan has worked his way
into many of our good Independent Baptist Churches through
worldly music. There is a great falling away in the
training of young people in this area. For this cause
we offer special courses in music for all Pastoral Theology
majors. This includes: Philosophy of Music, Music Appreciation,
College Choir, Music Theory, and Hymnology. Those majoring
in Pastoral Theology/Music or Ladies Christian Education/Music
will take those courses and these as well: A History
of Contemporary Christian Music, Elective in Vocal or
Instrumental, Music Administration, Music Since 1900,
and Music Composition. On the next page is a listing
of the course of study for Pastoral Theology. Other
courses of study offered are: Pastoral Theology/Music,
Pastoral Theology/Missions, and Pastoral Theology/Youth.
These classes are offered to ladies: Christian Education/Music,
Missions, or Secretarial. In all of these courses of
study there is also a two-year certificate for those
not pursuing a four-year B.A.
